How do I go about referring friends? Is there a link where I can send them an email through this site, or is there a unique URL for each user that will allow others to sign up as their referrals?
Thanks.

Hi norgechica, We don't have any automated way of referring friends at the moment - the closest we've got is the "Send to a friend" link at the top of articles. If you simply want your friends to be part of the Frogpond promotion, send them to: http://www.gonegoing.com/Frogpond.aspxCheers, James.

The promotion for the frogpond says that you get $10 Amazon per article and per your referrals articles. I'm just wondering how to get my referrals linked to my account so I get credit.
If there's no way to link referrals, then you should take that line out of the promotion, because it's misleading.

Ok, sorry, I understand what you mean now... I guess the line you're referring to is "We're giving away $10 Amazon.com® gift cards* to all Frogpond Agents and their referrals who contribute to GoneGoing" on the special offer page?
What it means is that Agents get vouchers for their own articles, and their referrals get vouchers for their own articles. You don't get vouchers for your referral's articles unfortunately. I'm pretty sure it's not misleading - it's definitely not intended to be! Does anyone else disagree?

Actually - it is misleading b/c that's how I understood it as well. Many promos give credit to people who refer other people to new websites and the referred friend did an activity which get credited, and the one who referred him/her also get credited for the activity. This is why is misleading since it's such a typical promo., and it's an incentive for people to refer their friends to this site. If they don't get credited for referring their friends, then it's only their friends who benefit from the referral, and not the one who did the referring in the first place.

I don't think it's that misleading but I do see how people could think they get the additional 10 dollars at first glance. I don't mind telling my friends about this promo so that they can get the amazon gift cards as well... I think it's better this way so more people get the opportunity to participate. Too many times with things like this, people take advantage and sign up for multiple accounts and nothing is left for everyone else!

Why not rephrase the promotion so it is clearer and would not create any misleading ideas?

I don't know, I wasn't confused. I understood it to mean I'd earn $30, and my referrals could to. Not that I'd earn money from their articles.
I assumed earning the $30 was only offered to BzzAgents and their referrals, not the general public.

I see your point - that the general public can only sign up through the regular link and therefore cannot participate in the promotion, whereas only BzzAgents and their referrals can. Still, I thought BzzAgents would benefit from referring people, but that was my take on it. It doesn't sound like a lot of people misunderstood it, so I was in the minority.

I understood it to mean it was available only to BzzAgents through their Frog Pond. However, someone posted the promotion on SlickDeals and that could account for some of the misunderstanding as to who was entitled to earn a fee from it. I've never been able to earn anything through Bzz that I didn't do myself but maybe others have.
